The present invention relates to a Shiny app comprising a method and system for estimating the biological age of honey bee (Apis mellifera) workers based on immune gene expression profiling. By measuring the normalized expression levels of four selected genes (Dome, Relish, SOD1, and Apid1), the method utilizes an Elastic Net Regression (ENR) model to predict biological (immune) age in days, thereby enabling early detection of colony stress and age-related shifts within bee populations. The software tool automates data input, normalization, prediction, and output visualization. This method facilitates non-invasive assessment of colony health and is applicable in research, veterinary diagnostics, and beekeeping management.
