    Organic electronic devices offer several advantages over conventional inorganic materials, such as flexibility, light weight, and low cost; however, their poor stability in atmospheric environments remains a significant limi tation. The increasing environmental pollution caused by organic electronic waste has led to a growing interest in biodegradable polymers as sustainable alternatives. This study presents the development of an ecofriendly or ganic gas sensor based on blended films of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) and poly(butylene succinate) (PBS). The organic transistor maintained a stable device performance even with up to 90 wt% reduction in P3HT con tent through vertical phase separation via slow evaporation of the high-boiling-point solvent, dichlorobenzene (DCB). Notably, the chloroform (CF)-processed films exhibited horizontal phase separation, which enhanced their gas-sensing performance owing to the presence of gas-ester groups in PBS in the active layer. Furthermore, the intrinsic flexibility of PBS improved the mechanical durability of the active layer, which was shown to be biodegradable in seawater. This study demonstrates that solvent engineering is a powerful strategy for optimiz ing the multifunctional properties of polymer blends, thereby providing an environmentally sustainable and highly sensitive gas-sensing platform.
